How we handle your data.
Simply Said Ltd is the data controller for personal data submitted via drsteveingham.com. Dr Steve Ingham is a trading name of Simply Said Ltd.
What we collect
- Enquiry form submissions: name, organisation, email, event date, format, brief, indicative budget. Submitted via the contact form and delivered to hello@drsteveingham.com via Resend.
- Anti-spam telemetry: when you submit a form, Cloudflare Turnstile performs a brief automated check to filter bots. This may include limited device and browser information. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
- Standard server logs: our hosting provider Netlify keeps standard request logs (IP address, request timestamp, page accessed) for security and uptime purposes. These are not used for analytics.
What we don't collect
- No analytics or tracking pixels.
- No marketing cookies.
- No third-party advertising data.
- No data shared with social networks.
Lawful basis for processing
We process enquiry data under legitimate interest (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — specifically, the legitimate interest of responding to your enquiry and discussing potential work.
We process anti-spam telemetry under legitimate interest — protecting the site from abuse.
How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept indefinitely in our inbox unless you request deletion. Server logs are retained by Netlify according to their retention policy (typically 30 days). Anti-spam telemetry is held by Cloudflare per their retention schedule.
Third parties
Your data may be processed by:
- Resend — email delivery, US-based, transfers protected by Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Cloudflare — Turnstile anti-spam, US-based, SCCs.
- Netlify — hosting, US-based, SCCs.
- Google Workspace — email storage at the hello@drsteveingham.com inbox, US/EU, SCCs.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to processing.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
